Upper School Latin

Jeremy Walden

Mr. Walden graduated cum laude from the College of Charleston with a degree in Classics. While at Charleston he received scholarships and awards for his work in Classics, including the Outstanding Tutor award. He has many years of experience teaching Latin at the high school level and is currently finishing further studies in education at Indiana Wesleyan University. Mr. Walden was raised in the Indianapolis area and came to faith in Christ while in fourth grade. One passage he holds close is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.” Mr. Walden enjoys reading and learning new languages, wants to become a better percussionist, and is excited to be a part of The Classical Academy community.
