Open Positions

Love where you work.

Our collaborative model brings the university/college format down to the K-12 school. The Classical Academy provides a full, private, classical, Christian education utilizing two locations: the school AND the home. There is one joint curriculum between home and school. This allows parents to participate in their children’s education while retaining all the benefits of professional teachers and a school community, at a fraction of the cost of a traditional five-day school.

The Classical Academy just graduated its first two classes of seniors and is accredited by The Association of Classical Christian Schools.

Student Body: 285 students PreK through 12th grade.

Lower School Open Positions

Support Staff

Support Staff are the first call for substitute teachers when needed on campus. In addition to substitute teaching, the main roles of a support staff member are classroom/academic support and campus day support. Classroom/academic support involves assisting our classroom teachers through academic help in the classroom (such as running reading and math groups), grading papers, one-on-one or small student group work, and any other academic support needed. Campus day support includes supervising all lunch periods, choir, recess, and any other needs that occur in order to run a successful campus day. This position is a Monday/Wednesday position only and has no outside campus work.

Kindergarten & 1st Grade

Our Kindergarten and 1st grade students attend campus on Monday and Wednesday and work at home on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday under the tutelage of their parents. Teachers are responsible for setting out the 5 days of lesson plans with our curriculum, but only teaching 2 of those days at school while the parent teaches the other days at home. Teachers are responsible for grading, keeping track of assignments, being a help and guide to parents, and all the other traditional aspects of running a classroom. This position is part-time with no benefits. A bachelor’s degree and teaching experience is required.

Upper School Open Positions

Our 7th-12th grade students attend campus on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work at home on Tuesday and Friday. By this point in the university-schedule student’s education career, they are growing exponentially in their ability to manage their own lessons and studies on their off campus days. Parents do not teach on the home days in 7th-12th grade, rather students are simply completing work for their classes like students would in a college/university.

Teachers are responsible for setting out the 5 days of lesson plans with our curriculum, but only teaching 3 of those days at school while students complete independent work for those classes on the other two days.  Teachers are responsible for grading, keeping track of assignments, being a help and guide to students and parents, and all the other traditional aspects of running a classroom. Classes in these upper grades are paid per section or hour.

Extracurricular Opportunities

Head Cross Country Coach

This part-time Cross Country Head Coach is open to individuals who are eager to lead and inspire our lower school and upper school runners. This is a modest stipend-based role that is primarily volunteer in nature, ideal for someone who is passionate about mentoring students and building a culture of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Strong administrative skills—or the ability to recruit and onboard a capable volunteer administrator—are essential, as the operational and logistical aspects of the program (meet registration, communication, scheduling, etc.) are not managed by the school offices.

The program is well-established, and the new coach will benefit from existing training plans, schedules, and parent support, as well as the previous coach’s availability as a resource.

Applicants should be organized, enthusiastic, and committed to fostering a Christ-centered team culture. Previous coaching or running experience is preferred.

If you have an interest in volunteering to lead an extracurricular club or activity during after school hours, please complete the extracurricular proposal form.

*Please note that all staff, coaches, and extracurricular activity leaders/volunteers are background checked.
