Jon Jenkins received his Bachelor of Arts from Taylor University and has spent his most recent years serving as an upper school teacher and school administrator in private Christian education. His deep love for teaching is rooted in a desire to help students see the integration of faith and learning, that all things hold together in Christ, and that every subject reveals the glory of God. Prior to his work in education, Jon also served as a missionary, church pastor, and non-profit executive. These experiences continue to inform his gospel-centered approach to the classroom.

In addition to his work in education, his numerous “tent-making” occupations include college football coach, law enforcement officer, restaurant manager, and installation and design landscaper. He was first introduced to The Classical Academy by his son, Mr. Nate Jenkins, and his heart has been drawn here since that introduction. He is married to Robin and three of his grandchildren attend the Academy.
