Primer School

Pre-Kindergarten

At this stage, play is their work!

Our youngest students are growing intellectually, physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually, so the care they receive as young children is vital to their later success. Pre-Kindergarten at The Classical Academy provides an inspiring introduction to classical education for little minds. Children attend school two half days a week and continue learning at home on the other days. Optional extension material is given to complete at home with a parent. The two campus days and two home enrichment days provide a solid foundation for kindergarten.

At this stage, play is their work! The Pre-Kindergarten day is full of fine arts, Scripture, language arts, phonics and math. Reading readiness includes a multi-sensory phonics program, and math is taught using hands-on activities that incorporate auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning modes. Play-based centers give children opportunities to engage in art, music, dramatic play, and sensory exploration.
